About Ffilmic
Ffilmic has been imagined by Arts Connection, a community arts organisation based in Llanfyllin delivering small and large scale arts projects across North Powys for all ages and abilities.
We aim to create access to independent and non-mainstream films as well as enabling access to informal film literacy education for all ages.
We aim to offer those living in rural areas the opportunity to access workshops with professionals working in the Film or TV industry and to offer access to non-mainstream films, to encourage film culture in its many and various forms from experimental / art house to foreign language films to essay films and more.
We hope that the festival encourages a passion and love for film culture and opens up the chance to explore and learn more about moving image and the many ways in which it can be used, for artistic, political and enjoyment purposes.
